My deep, dark, evil, twisted & fucked up mind

There is no guide for mental well being, and that hasn't changed.

However in a deep dive through your own mind you can discover a lot of things about yourself.
that's what this is.

"My deep, dark, evil, twisted & fucked up mind" is a work of passion, that doubles as a cry for help. It is burying your face in your pillow and screaming to get out all of your frustrations. An exorcism of your own demons, and an acknowledgment of your issues.

-

Fog,

A mist that blocks the sight of my past, a vast disgrace,

Impeding vision of a time and place, that is mine.

Seeking out the young man I have erased,

Searching for the faith that I've misplaced,

Haunted by the life that now lies in waste,

Moving on at a zombie's pace,

Dissect my mind, try to crack the case.

Case closed.

What a fucking waste.

Joshua P. Johnson is a Canadian poet whose work is shaped by years of lived experience rather than formal education. Raised in rural communities and later immersed in city life, he served 9 years within the Armed Forces before having the courage to pursue a hidden passion. He published his first poetry collection "My deep, dark, evil, twisted & fucked up mid" in 2023 after years of private journaling.

With a strong commitment to mental health advocacy and expressive art, his poetry confronts personal struggle, unfortunate realities and themes of identity. Blending raw honesty with deep reflection while attempting to stay true to the version of himself at the time of writing while accepting the version of himself as he is now.

When not writing he remains deeply passionate engaged with film, media and the artistic expression that challenges minds everywhere in their chosen outlet. A Small town person, with interest in the art of small town people whether that be music, writing, painting or an other method.
