Great Historical Novel

With the major Broadway success of the musical "Hamilton"-I can neither afford to purchase a ticket nor desire to go through the effort to see that show so I was looking to understand what the 'hoopla' was all about Hamilton. This book here offered me an affordable alternative, and even differentiates between the play and the book history, to delve into Hamilton and the story of our American Revolution. Herein lies a great novel that captivates the reader and also educates us regarding the early years of this country. It is obviously apparent that two women dug deeply with their research to write this book casting Hamilton's wife as driving the perspective. How clever is this!? I was literally blown away by this book and recommend it for anyone desiring to know- from a real person's first account-what it was like to live, travail, dream and be a crucial part in the making of this wonderful republic. It is especially rewarding to see and read about the great woman who was behind the man-and I seriously doubt his success if he did not have her as a partner.
