Battling depression is already an enormous struggle, adding addiction into the mix that is a recipe for disaster. For over 15 years David battled bipolar depression and suffered in silence from addiction, it took the birth and near lose of his now 6 year old son to finally realize enough is enough. His poetry describes the pain of silently suffering from one monster, to a daily battle with his inner demons. Today and 6 years clean and sober David uses his poetry to describe that experience and wants others to know that there is a light at the end and it is possible to take back your life.
