A biography of the woman who dedicated her life to the creation and preservation of a Jewish state. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book was a gift that I got from my father when I was about five years old. I used to like to read the poetry, and look at all the sketches that filled the pages. Some of the characters in the pages either reminded me of someone I knew, or someone I didn't want to know. There was a time when I lost the book, only to find it again in my adult years. When I opened it, it felt like looking at something I'd never seen- it was like something new to me, all over again. There are poems of street life, poverty, and all the other pitfalls of living "the life". But there are some other poems that are uplifting, and things that young children can relate to; like the smell of Grandpa's cigar, and the feeling of joy you got when your dad came home.I feel every child should have this book. It uplifts the Black man as a father, and as a whole. Every Black child should have this book, along with every other child of every other race. It's a classic!
Full of thoughts of a child whose family life is changing.

This book expresses and speaks to the soft and sensitive side of a child going through family-life change. There are the thoughts about the new baby that came over the summer, Mama and Daddy separating and Daddy coming by to visit and offering a ride in his car. Right now, that's all Daddy has to give. Fufuka has not only stepped inside a child's heart, he stayed a while and left his love there. A good read to initiate dialogue about feelings.
