Losing a loved one is never easy. Losing a loved one at a young age, especially a parent, is even more tragic and life-changing. The concept of this book was inspired by Shantae Moore when she was just a teenager. After witnessing three sets of young cousins lose a parent, she wrote a poem. In fulfillment of her calling, Shantae transformed that poem into a children's book after the loss of her own sons' father.

Shantae's prayer is that this book inspires readers to move forward step by step, day by day, in healing and in hope to see the light that awaits them even after a loss. Amidst incredible tragedy, there is a new found purpose and triumph that can be discovered.
