Dr. Mitzi Williams is a pediatric foot and lower extremity surgeon who specializes in congenital deformities. She currently practices in northern California with Dr. Scott Kaiser. After numerous questions from parents and families on how best to discuss clubfoot not only with the involved child but also siblings she collaborated with both Dr. Matthew Dobbs (The Paley Institute) and Dr. Scott Kaiser in writing My Boots. Dr. Williams has written this book along with My Big Boots to help children better understand clubfoot. Her compassion and understanding are far-reaching as she has traveled as far as Vietnam and Nepal to perform surgery for children. She is nationally recognized. Dr. Matthew Dobbs is internationally recognized for his expertise and innovation in the field of pediatric foot and lower extremity deformities.

My Boots along with its sequel entitled My Big Boots are dedicated to the children worldwide born with clubfoot. These books have been published to provide information from a child's point of view while also providing accurate information for families who are caring for children with clubfoot. We find these books to be helpful in speaking with children. These books are also helpful in aiding in any conversation with siblings and friends of children with clubfoot. We give special thanks to the patients and their families who inspire us. Some of the proceeds from these books are dedicated to children with clubfoot in need of care.
