From the time she was a child, Theresa Benoit always loved writing songs. One day, while recuperating from major surgery, she decided to pick up her guitar, only to find that her throat had closed off and she could not sing - yet she could speak.

So, she prayed. She asked God why she could no longer sing - he showed her that he wanted her to write and sing about him and put aside her old writings. Though she wrote an amazing album, Star, it was never published. Thus began the adventure and birthing of the CD, David Dancing. She called it "Gospel with an attitude" - consisting of different genres, it hit the top of the gospel charts in 1999... and the story continues.

By the way, for those who are curious, her throat opened again after she wrote her first gospel song - and she was able to sing it.

This is the second volume of, "My Book of Songs," and there is as much depth, truth, and honesty as there is within the pages of volume one. Ms. Benoit is fearless and passionate when it comes to both her writing and her love of the Lord.
