'My Body is all Mine' was written based on the story of a 7-year old girl, Ruby that escaped sexual abuse. She was almost abused by her uncle who was left to take care of her while her parents were at work. Following her experience, her teacher decided to invite a sexuality educator to educate the pupils on the issue of child sexual abuse and violence.Child sexual violence is on the rise. Children need to understand what it means and how they can stay safe. Most importantly, they need to be more courageous to report the offenders without fear. This book helps children to understand their bodies, what sexual violence is, report violence, and how to be safe. The book is simple with nicely done illustrations that will capture your child's attention. It can be used as a bed-time story book as well to make it stick.
