God has been so gracious to me. As a very young toddler, He gave me an insatiable desire for weather and all of its glory. I knew at an early age that I would be forecasting the weather to help people navigate through their week. Little did I know that He would open up so many windows of opportunity including weekend weather forecasting on my hometown radio station at age 15. I realized one of my dreams early in my career. By luck of the draw, at age 22, I was on the very first anchor team when The Weather Channel went live on May 2, 1982, from Atlanta, Georgia. After a brief stint in Minneapolis, my move to Cleveland, Ohio in 1988 would be where my roots had a chance to grow deep. This is not your typical career memoir or autobiography. Rather, as I moved into my final year on television at WJW-TV, I began to journal. Just as an artist works on a painting, it's a little here and a little there until the painting is complete. As special moments and unforgettable events came to mind, I share those moments from my childhood, education, and career moves.
