For anyone who has experienced loss, this is a short story of my best friend, Queenie, and the life I spent with her. While the bond we shared is beyond words, it is my hope that my description of that relationship may still resonate with both dog lovers and anyone who is going through periods of grief over the loss of a loved one. Moments of tragedy and regret await all of us, but irrespective of those realities are fond memories that may sustain our spirits for when the bad days come, and use those memories as an ally to inspire new and better things.
