A Frank introduction.

I was first introduced to the Zuni by Tony Hillerman's writing. Later, on visits to the area. Soon, I decided to add a little depth of knowledge. Who better to turn to than a Zuñi? Of course, Frank Hamilton Cushing (1857-1900) was a pioneer of Pueblo culture. There are more extensive and comprehensive Cushing books. However, this book makes a great introduction. It is a reissue of articles written in "The Century Magazine" and a couple of articles by Sylvester Baxter, a visitor of Cushing. The book is under 100 pages and has black-and-white drawings of people and places.
