In the Summer of 2019, I rode my bicycle from Rialto Beach, at Olympic National Park in the state of Washington to Wells Beach, Maine. It took 39 days and covered 3,699 miles going across the northern tier of the United States. The route took me across Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. For the majority of the ride I followed the official route, but occasionally detoured as their route was less than ideal. It is my hope that this book assists others in what to do and not do when riding across the Northern Tier of the country.
