The first brings handsome Luke Reddall to the colony of New South Wales, where he eventually becomes a gentleman farmer, a man's man, and a hero pioneer. The second transports James Baker Waldon on a convict ship, where plots and hatched and riots ensue.

Fate will unite the pair, and they share many adventures, James finding love, and Luke his true nature.
