And I highly recommend his text also and thank him very much for writting such a fine book. Can he make a translation into Spanish for sale at the University and other schools here?

excellent primer on all the basic aspects of music

-Music Fundamentals" by Elvo DêAmante is an excellent primer on all the basic aspects of music from pitch and rhythm to scales, chords, keys and notation. The author presents all the components of the musical system in logical steps. Together they provide the student with an ordered and well-rounded approach to hearing, writing, and understanding music. While all the information was useful, I found the sections on music notation to be especially helpful. The authorês guidelines for writing clear and correct manuscript have helped me make my musical ideas accessible to musicians all over the world.
