Unequivocally a great resource for the ABR Oral Boards

This second edition brings a totally new collection of cases with more thorough and relevant discussions for your day in Louisville. (or sylvan learning center for the non-purists!) Having read the Chew Teaching Atlas many times over, I can say that there are no more "zebra's" in the Yu book, and the explanations of the differentials and management are much more clear. There are slightly more cases than the others in the series, but if you get through them, you should be in good shape for the elusive "72"!!!
Concise MSK book - finally...

Since starting residency, I've been looking for a concise MSK case book, it's just the way I learn best. I tried the MSK Imaging by Maximilian, but didn't find it practically useful. Dr. Yu's book takes each case and starts off by showing several images and asking questions, which make the case similar to a hot-seat conference and allows solidification of the answer in your mind. The answers are on the following page, followed by a short explanation of the disease process and most relevant radiograph findings. There's also reference to The Requisites, if you're using that book. You can get through each case in under 5 minutes, which is a big draw for this book, and learn the necessary diagnostic components. I highly recommend it. Another good book to check out is the one by Felix Chew.

Very well written, good discussion of imaging findings and differential diagnosis. Perfect for studying on an MSK rotation or studying for boards...
