OUTSTANDING: Murder Over Dinner is by far, the best book I've read in years. He's Orwell, Irving and Paterson wrapped in one neat package. Intriguing stories, coupled with constant laughs. People on my flight were wondering what was making me laugh so hard. Many times, I thought I knew where Taylor was sending me in his story only to find a last minute twist to make me shake my head. It's so good I ordered three more copies to give to my friends. Such an incredible story teller, I can't wait for his next book.
Had lots of fun reading this book

I enjoyed reading Murder Over Dinner. This first time author shows a lot of promise as a writer. His ideas are creative and fun. I thought the characters were real and the stories interesting. The story Murder Over Dinner had a neat twist that kept me going to the end. I enjoyed Die Poodles Die and Change of Father. If you read into the book beyond its story you will find our everyday thoughts to debatable issues. Michigan Cherries was a real life touching story, that makes us think about "what if". I definitely think that Murder Over Dinner, A collection of short stories is a great book to sit down and read. I look forward to see how his writing grows with his next book. In a nutshell, it's a great, fun, enjoyable book.
Enjoyable read.

This was, quite simply, a fun book. I felt that it was an original and surprising collection, short and sweet, with twists and turns that kept me interested. And I'll say this, it was a fun beach read. It was great in bits and pieces. Buy it, read it, and just enjoy it.
It's a "Can't Wait to See What Happens" Kind of Book

Murder Over Dinner and Other Stories keeps the reader interested to the very end of each story. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen to each family member in the story, The Television. In the story, Die Poodles Die, James P. Taylor gives a vivid description of each character. This book is a collection of some very quirky and some very real characters. Very clever writing. These stories will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens.
