Wheeling- the 'Little Chicago'

Having been born there , raised nearby and recognizing almost all of the names and many of the places, the revelation I had to confront about the underbelly of ' The Friendly City ' certainly winded me ! The book took care of dispelling my view of the innocent 50s. The tentacles of the nationwide 'Mobs' reach farther into our reaches than we think. It's a good thing I spent the summer reading Robin Yocum, another 'local' ( Steubenville area) Journalist/author- he served as good preparation for George's revelations.
