In the midst of coping with a separation from her husband, life for art instructor Ireland Matthews is altered to an even lower low when her sister, Faye, is murdered. A former colleague of Faye's, Gar is on a personal crusade seeking answers as to why she was killed. He suspects Ireland's best friend was involved in Faye's demise and enlists Ireland's help to prove it. Ireland soon begins harboring ill feelings for her best friend as well as for her estranged husband who seemingly has secrets of his own.
