One of Agathas best creations

I personly think this is one of her best books ever.It is also the first book of hers that I read.I bought it at a bake sale and when I looked it up was very sad to find that they no longer have this book in print, but later found out that they just renamed it Hercule Poirots chirstmas.(Why do they keep doing that it's soooo confusing!becuase I dont know if I have already read the book and it just had it's old name!)This is one of her best works ever and if you want a crazy murder mystery for the holiday season then you have come to the right place!

Murder For Christmas by Agatha Christie

On Christmas Eve, the aging Simeon Lee invites his family home for an old-fashioned holiday celebration. However, his motive for gathering his nearest and "dearest" around him is not in the true holiday spirit. That night, he is found murdered in his locked study. Hercule Poirot arrives to solve this "locked room mystery." Usual cast of suspects plus a stranger from abroad. Not the best story in the collection, but still a good read/puzzle. For another Christmas manor mystery, try Christmas is Murder: A Rex Graves Mystery, a novel by C.S. Challinor and seasonal mystery In the Dead of Winter (Ivy Towers Mystery Series #1) (Heartsong Presents Mysteries #3) by Nancy Mehl.

Christie at her best

I can't believe this book is out of print! It's definitely one of the best mysteries Christie ever wrote. A feuding family gathers for a reunion during the Christmas holidays, summoned by their obnoxious old father, and when Dad turns up dead as the proverbial doornail, it has to be a family member that committed the crime. Well, it was a family member, all right... I'm not giving away the surprise, but suffice to say you can't always trust your nearest relations, and sometimes you don't even know who they are. Christie was a national treasure and this book is one of the prime jewels in the treasure chest. Somebody please reissue this book and fast. There's a whole generation out there waiting to discover a gem.

A GREAT Mystery

I read this book because of a recomindation from my mother, I read it and was totally suprised. I told my sister that it was so good that she read it, she loved it too. It is a pretty good story and I will bet you you would not guess it in a million years.
