Cop detective murder mystery--Detective Ray Arnold, a veteran Homicide detective abruptly gets transferred to the Federal DEA Task Force. There's a missing cop who was assigned to the Task Force and Ray is compelled to investigate his missing status as he winds his way through dope deals and wealthy dope smugglers.The books is faction as the author was an older cop detective assigned to the Task Force in real life.Several plots appear and Ray has to try and figure out why he was assigned and who got murdered and who got rich. After getting beat up on his first drug deal, set up by some cops and federal agents, Ray realizes that the guys in the unit don't want him here. It makes him hang on for dear life and take the federal ride through hell.
