Multiplication tables are an important tool in mathematics. The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) of United Kingdom, has proposal for the new national curriculum to ensure that pupils are able to recite their times tables up to and including 12 x 12 by the age of nine.
