This book will guide the reader through the author's construction of a simple, scalable 14' diameter 7' tall, 150 + sq. ft. covered geodesic dome using readily available materials. Should the reader wish to up-size or down-size his/her version of the dome, suggestions are given to accomplish that also. Many uses for the dome are suggested. The book is profusely illustrated and the simple components for construction are thoroughly diagrammed with the actual measurements for the author's particular dome. He built his dome primarily as an alternate family shelter should an earthquake render his home uninhabitable and it is stored a short distance away on his property in a truck box. He has also used domes he has built as a "tent" while camping in the mountains of Utah and the high desert of south central Oregon.
