Favorite All Time Story

I first read this story in eighth grade. I fell in love with Mrs. Mike and Mike, the Canadian Mountie. It is simply a story you never forget that begins with a sixteen year old girl who leaves Boston for the Canadian wilderness. There she meets handsome Mike. By the middle of the book, I think all of us female readers wanted a Mike of our own. This book was passed on to my child and someday will be passed on to my grandchildren. I pick up a copy of this book everywhere I see one, and each time, I meet someone who says, "Oh, I loved that story."
