On of my all time favorite cookbooks

I found this book in San Diego in 1979 when my then husband was stationed there as a navy officer. Mind you, cooking is not one of my favorite things, but I used some of the recipes for dinner parties for close friends and found the recipes easy to prepare and unforgettable. All these years later I still make beef in shoyu sauce, hamburgers Diane, spaghetti florentine and quickie tuna burgers, just to give a few gems from this cookbook. I give this cookbook to friends when I can find a new or like new copy. I have the original 1964 edition in the fourth printing from 1972, which has fallen apart from use so I bought one of the 1997 editions with the pink cover. That edition has additional "healthy recipes" and vegetarian fare. Recipes for cocktails, salad dressings, soups, sauces, entrees, desserts: you name it, it has it. I can't recommend this cookbook highly enough.
