About the Author: Twyla Fritz lives with her husband in Mobridge, South Dakota. She owns and operates Best Friend Grooming and Kennels. In her business Twyla has encountered many families who have lost their pets. Because of this, she has written Mr. Wood Goes to Heaven to help her young clients through the long and difficult process of grieving. Writing this story helped Twyla through the grieving process of losing her own pet.. Twyla has also founded the 'Pets-N-People' project; whereby she compiles a list of pets needing a home and matches that list with people looking for a suitable pet. All animals are spayed and neutered before placement. All proceeds from the sale of each book is donated to the project to help defray expenses.
