Endearing and sweet story!

I first read this book in the 50's and was charmed by it. Mr. Wishing had a kind heart and saved the day. Over the years as I grew older and older, I longed to read this story again. About fifteen years ago I located a child-worn copy and I gratefully paid $17 for it. Occasionally I re-read it and it makes me happy. I'll be 70 this year and Mr. Wishing will stay with me till the day I die!!
