Mr Ted's Police Dog Adventures

This children's' book is about Mr Ted, a German Shepherd who was born and grew up on a farm in England and stayed there with his parents and their owners until he was a year old. He spent many happy days on the farm with all the other animals, and his brothers and sisters, who all eventually went to other homes when they were very young, all that is except Mr Ted, who stayed with his Mum, Jess and his Dad Bonus. By the time he was a year old Mr Ted was every bit as big as his Dad and becoming a bit of a handful to manage. One day the driver who collected the milk from the farm said he wouldn't mind owning Mr Ted if he was available, and so it was agreed that he could have him and he took him home to his family. Mr Ted was happy enough with them, but kept escaping from their house and running wild in the nearby streets. Realising that he was never going to be properly trained his new owners offered him to the police to be trained as a police dog. He certainly looked the part, big, strong and handsome. He was accepted in to the police force. This book tells of his police training at the police dog training school, and then his many adventures with Police Constable Eddie Wood as they patrolled the streets and districts of Walthamshire in their patrol van.
