I was sooo excited in the middle of this book I was late to work twice! Very captivating.
The turn where the author is unpacking the mystery gets complicated and not fluid enough for my liking. Ms. Steadman is talented and I really enjoyed so much of it, and I was forcing myself to finish the book after the reveal, because it was terribly unsatisfying for me.
I’m new to reading for pleasure again so I thank her so much for that “hungry” feeling of a boom I can’t put down, but I am flat having finished it today.

Very enjoyable read. A bit concerned when I discovered it was on an Book Club list, but it is well written, with interesting characters.
