There's so much to like about this story, and the thing that parents will like the most is how easy the book was to understand. It's important for books aimed at children to be written in a fun way that they'll remember. The rhyming included in Mr. Germ is definitely fun enough to keep a child's attention. The illustrations really popped out from the page, and they can easily transport children to the scene of each page. The images told the story and lessons without even needing to look at the words. Reading the words definitely helps to get the message across. But if there were no words, it would be clear as to what was going on by the pictures.

The handwashing lessons and the overall story are great matches.
