Fabulous Book! Worthwhile for adults and adults-to-be

A marvelous story and beautifully written. The "what I learned" summaries for each chapter help bring it all into focus. Have purchased multiple copies and given to family and friends! Highly recommend as a book that one can revisit over and over. Has multiple layers to it, yet accessible and joyous. In reading some of the formal book reviews (not the customer reviews), I wonder if the formal reviewers fully read the book as there are certain inaccuracies about factual information and the intentions of the book. Thank you to Alan Cohen for putting such an outstanding work forward!

Fabulous Inspiration

Mr Everit's Secret by Alan Cohen is a modern day parable and nothing short of a masterpiece. The story is about a man who is wanting the wisdom of his boss. He is being mentored by his boss who has a peaceful and serene posture, one which this man is striving for. You journey thru the lives of these two men and you see how the mentor tells his subtle tales, and how the young man soaks it all in. The ending is a complete surprise and brought me to tears. I couldn't put it down. I recommend it to everyone who needs inspiration. In fact, I bought 10 copies and will be passing them out to my closest friends. MUST READ!!!
My kind of learning experience!

Mr. Everit's Secret -- Now that's my kind of learning experience! At last I can go past the stage of making affirmations and prodding myself to "think abundance" into accessing abundance directly.Thank you, Alan Cohen, reality and imagination are in meaningful dialogue in your book. Mr. Everit and the seeker in the story touch the wellsprings of my own planetary experience and make it possible for me to take my inner/outer work to further expression.I also appreciated the format of the book with its concise and clear journal entries. That's a great teaching tool. I liked being privy to the seeker's evolution and then relating it to mine.Bravo, Alan!
The "Illusions" of this millenium

Been looking for a good read? This is it! I haven't been as enthusiastic about a book since Richard Bach's "Illusions" in the 70's. Mr Everit's Secret is inspiring, funny, brilliant and so well written I didn't want it to end! I'm sending copies to my friends and collegues.
