Genuine, exciting, heart wrenching, page turner.

So many people, including me before reading this book, knew nothing of the harsh cival war that Mozambique suffered under for almost 20 years. This book chronicles the truth of what really occured in Mozambique during that time period and beyond. The Hein's story chronicles the unique call of God on their life and what two dedicated, sold out, people can accomplish through the power of the Holy Spirit. I don't want to spoil the book for you, but because of what they accomplished, the Hein's should be famous. But having met and worked with both of them, I know that's not why the book was written. I have never met a more dedicated, genuine, real and loving missionary couple as Rod and Ellie Hein. They are the real deal, no hype, no fuss, not flashy. They just get the job done. The price they have paid has literally opened up Mozambique for other missionaries. If you would like to go on an Afican adventure without the long airline flight, then this book is for you. You'll find if hard to put down.

A Must Read Book

This is a book I couldn't put down and it's worth every hour of sleep I lost while reading it. Let me disclose at the outset that although I've never met the author and her husband, my brother works with them and holds them in the highest esteem. Ellie Hein is a terrific writer and will take you with them as they transit Mozambique in the middle of a civil war. The stories range from action/adventure material to the worst of man's inhumanity to man. The type of stories that will tear at your very soul. The characters in this story includes each one of us and our role in the public relations battles waged by both sides of the conflict. The hope carried into this theatre by Rod and Ellie Hein will captivate, inspire and motivate you.
