Moving Up! was the most helpful book I read during my graduate school preparation for a career in educational administration. It validated where I was in my career restlessness. The guidance given in the book helped me to make wise choices in my academic preparation. It also gave guidance concerning the activities in which one should invest one's time and energy. Moving Up! gives outstanding insight to on-the-job situations and practicalities. It is a must read for every woman entering or in educational administration.

Moving Up! is a "must read" for any woman considering a move into educational administration. From resumes to the superintendent's office - this book has it covered! Judith Witmer's disscussion of how women's leadership and communication styles are most appropriate to today's educational reform needs supports the belief that women possess the characteristics that are most effective in developing a cooperative, participatory management style. An excellent resource!
