In 1925 Charlie and Clyde meet at the historic Rural Inn located in Mattydale on what was formerly the old Cicero Plank Road. As it sometimes happens with certain friendships, they picked up right where they had left off, as if the twenty years of separation had never happened. They renew their friendship and exchange personal stories through which they both find that they are tired of just getting by. Charlie and Clyde both want more. The two friends finally decide to plan and execute a burglary. The pair rationalize that they only need this one little excursion over the line to help fund their financial futures. Of course, nothing went exactly as planned. After hiding their ill-gotten loot, the plan to lie low for awhile quickly goes astray. An ambitious sheriff and an unseen witness to the burglary are soon making Charlie and Clyde's lives uncomfortable. Discovering how much either of those individuals knew about the burglary and countering their activities soon occupies much of Charlie and Clyde's time. The situation will call on abilities Charlie and Clyde didn't know that they possessed.
