Moving communication

This work draws on my personal academic knowledge and qualifications, based on the current BE/TG teacher training programme at the University of Art and Design Linz and my completed dance training. My interest in 'moving communication' stems from my theoretical and practical engagement with physical movement through my work as a teacher. The following key statements are intended to highlight this field of research: - Teaching skills means communication. - Dance and performance are communication. - Art is communication. The increasing wave of migration also provides the impetus for the topic of moving communication as a learning method. This represents a new, current form of diversity that has an impact on transcultural studies within the school context. Through an examination of Gardner's 'multiple intelligences' model (Chapter 2.1), an analysis of transculturality (Chapter 2.2), an exploration of the necessary competencies of a teacher, the reception of art, and an engagement with performative approaches, this study aims to investigate what moving communication is and how it can manifest itself.
