Move over for Marva is a story of an orphaned manatee. She is left alone after a speeding boat hits her mother. Since most of the other manatees have moved a little further south for winter, Marva is left to fend for herself until her Aunt Cindy learns what has happened and goes back to find and adopt Marva. It is a story of perseverance, overcoming obstacles, and challenges, also helpfulness, love and compassion for another. The book incorporates original watercolor and colored pencil illustrations with actual photographs of animals featured in the story taken by the author to educate the reader about manatees. At the end of the back are learning reinforcement activities to coincide with the story.
