The Mousekin books are absolutely precious!

My five-year-old daughter and I discovered the Mousekin series of books at our local library and loved them! They are beautifully illustrated and the stories are captivating, bringing the story of the woodland creatures to vibrant life. In "Mousekin's Woodland Sleepers", young Mousekin finds his home is no longer fit to live in and goes off in search of a new home, only to encounter a host of other woodland animals along the way. Mousekin learns that some of these animals sleep through the winter, i.e. hibernate, such as the bear, chipmunk, woodchuck, etc. Mousekin also discovers that predators such as the screech owl, fox, and skunk do not hibernate and are on the prowl for food. The story flows along smoothly, and the delightful illustrations make this a charming and engaging read. These books about young Mousekin's adventures are worth tracking down - they will delight any young child and will enhance one's personal library.
