a man for all times

Lord Louis reminded so much of an American with his drive to succeed and be the very best at all he sought to do. He had a resourceful mind. I can't help but feel that so much of what he did was to vindicate his father's name. Perhaps at first this was true, but his good habits just steamrolled him into positions of greatness. This book is a good overview of Dickie's life. No new revelations here. There is so much to tell about Earl Mountbatten's life with its so many different facets. And what of the lovely Countess Mountbatten and her incredible life and it's many loves. What a book that would be if it were exhaustive in it's research. None the less, this is an informative book on Lord Mountbatten.
