This description does not match the book

I thought I was buying an instructional manual for working this philosophy more into my life, but it's written as a story/novella format. It was described as non-fiction but in the first pages describes how the fictional story incorporates elements of the truth and hedges what is fiction and historical. Not the self-help format at all. I don't read fiction, preferring working from factual resource material.
