Nancy Garner is a senior in high school and her brother Herb a sophomore. Their father, Jim is a State policeman who works long hours. Their mother Sarah lived to serve her family, but now that the household can tend to themselves, she has turned her attention to the care of Foster Children. Nancy and Herb have welcomed three additional siblings in the past two years. Our story begins in Central Indiana, 1965, just after the Palm Sunday tornado. The Social Worker took Sarah to see Sister Seraphine at the orphanage in Indianapolis. They needed Sarahs help with a difficult but loving little girl. A warm glow enfolded the room as the three women felt the Holy Spirit dealing with each of them, helping them to find the right solution for this little lost soul, Peggy. While Sarah was concerned about taking a little black girl back to her family and small town, she spoke her promise to God aloud and was shocked to hear her own voice saying these words. "Ill do it Lord, Ive got to!"
