What a great concept and great book. Mariana Cook's photographs do justice to the loving words from the mothers and their sons. A great addition to my library.

A very touching experience

The simple words are sometimes the best, when it comes to describe the unique bond between mother and son. I found this book to be very touching, as I often had to dab a tear after reading the heartfelt outpourings from mother to son and vice versa. My favorite picture is of Anne Lamott and her son Sam... there is just something in the picture that speaks to me of my own mother. My favorite 'snippet' would have to be Colin Salmon's description of his mother's trip to meet his father's family in Jamaica. This book has something to it that beautifully captures the emotions that often cannot be described or expressed. I love you mom!
