I am a Motherless Little Black Girl, you can also experience this kind of trauma rather your Mother is deceased, absent from your life, perhaps your Mother has a life that requires her to work endless hours and keeps her away from home. I have found that so many little girls grow up without Mothers due to addictions, they feel as if there are left to raise themselves. Most times, an older sibling has to look after younger siblings and forced to have many responsibilities when they should still have their youth. Growing up I thought I would never have this experience. Over the years, all I ever wanted was a Mother's love, I later found out that this was a serious void that could never be filled.
