A wonderful, delightful book!

I have read the English translation of the book. It is a wonderful book and very insightful into another culture in a different era. It is a delight to read! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and is one I will read again. Makes me smile just to think about it.

Story of love

This is an awesome book. I had to read it for a French class, but I would definately recommend it to anyone. The author approaches this very sad story with a lot of humour. I loved it! The amount of understanding and compassion the two sons have for their mother is so heartwarming.

Review of Civilisation ma mere!

I am also reading this book for my French class. I found it a thoroughly enjoyable read. It's an excellent study of Maghrebian culture and the emancipation of a pure-hearted woman. It's humourous and a great book to read, even for those who aren't forced to read it for school!
