Winter is just over, the sky is gray, and the ground is brown. Little Mortimer Mouse munches on sunflower seeds and longs to see something green. Mortimer finds a perfect sport to plant the seed, and then...he waits. And waits. And waits . Impatient, Mortimer thinks nothing is ever going to happen to the little seed. But then something does happen. Something wonderful. Something divine. Something green First introduced in the bestselling Mortimer's Christmas Manger , Mortimer Mouse returns with gutso in this inspirational offering that celebrates the miracle of springtime.

Great story about how gardening works, but religious.
Published by Yvonne , 5 years ago
I love this story. My almost 2 year old is going to help us garden this year, and I thought this would be a good introducing to the ideas of how a garden works. It is, except for several mentions of God. As a non-religious family, I'm very disappointed I didn't realize that's what divine meant. We will be donating this book.
