And when a strange incident occurs, the strange bird will cry"The woman called Efosi was humiliated and dumped into the river by three of her brothers, namely, Jumpe, Odize and Lole.The ill treatment and subsequent death of the woman in the river brought a great curse upon the land and an ant-hill grew out of the river. The river turned to a river of tears as it drowned anyone from that land who came across.There was also the tree of sorrows which grew in the land and the strange bird perched on it and cried for twenty-one times after which a strange epidemic appeared and reduced the population of the community to minimum.In addition to the action of the woman's husband and a great warrior, Fikana, who waged war against his in-laws in search of his beloved wife, Efosi.At the height of the crisis, solutions were found and the spirit of Efosi laid to rest. The river of tears ceased to drown and the strange bird cried no more.On the other hand, the oracle, which was instituted by a people for protection and progress, turned to an oracle of darkness and sorrows. The land was plunged into a serious crisis that took the lives of most of the worthy citizens.
