Morpho Aurora is a look at the evolution and struggles of a person through the stages of entering and ultimately exiting an abusive relationship. The structure follows the life cycle of a butterfly. Following a clear narrative arc from poem to poem the evolution of both the protagonist and the relationship are visceral and raw. As the relationship contorts her it is clear she must leave despite deep love for her partner. This unflinching and vulnerable journey is complete as she ultimately chooses to make her own meaning and peace with what has been hard to reconcile including, leaving the relationship, her relationship to her spirituality and her relationship to herself.
