The Finest Christian Poet On the Scene Today

After reading Betty Jo Ming's first book, "Poems For The Common Man," I could hardly wait for her next book to be published. I was not disappointed. She writes effortlessly and she writes from her very heart. Her work has a depth of experience that separates her from many of the frivolous books available for purchase today. There are poems for almost every occasion in this book, poems that would minister through church bulletins, poems to encourage the chronically ill, poems to build Christians up in the faith. She writes passionately about her love for Jesus Christ in whom she has placed her faith. One section is lighthearted and reveals a fun-loving dimension of Betty Jo Mings. Her essays and letters in the back of the book are a window into her personal life and what her family means to her. I heartily recommend this book not only for your personal reading pleasure but as a gift choice for Mother's Day, for birthdays, for Christmas or just as a friendship gift. I cannot speak more highly of both "Poems For The Common Man" and "More Poems For The Common Man." Both are books you will always treasure.
