Those among us that are lucky enough to have had a mother who cared will recognize many of the sayings in this book. A "momily" is defined as a short saying, such as "You'll thank me someday" and "Don't talk with your mouth full" that are commonly considered to be the province of the female parent. All of the sayings are simple and to the point, which fits the definition. This is a book of simple phrases that often have significant consequences, for the power is not in the saying itself but what the act of saying it means for the parent-child relationship.
