I don't follow trends because I set them.
I don't do that because it is not who I am.
I don't hang out with everyone because I don't want anyone to think that others represent who I am.
I don't want a seat at your table because I am building my own.
I am a great friend, but I am not friendly.
I am comfortable not being liked because I love myself.
I am comfortable with not being invited because I prefer not to receive some invitations.
I am comfortable being uncomfortable as I focus on my discipline to ensure I achieve my goals.
I am not for everybody, which is why not just anybody has access to me.
These words are not arrogant; they are clarity. They are a declaration of self-worth, discipline, and identity.
As a Black man in America, I cannot afford to let others define me, nor can I allow the world to dictate my values.
Every day, I step into a space, whether it's the workplace, my home, or society at large, and I am reminded that my skin, my presence, and my voice carry weight.
That weight can either crush me or strengthen me. My choice is to stand tall and let my Morals, Principles, and Character (M.P.C.) guide me.
This book aims to provide clarity on why not all men are created equal, as some men are cut from a different cloth.
