Moraegus and the Mage

Palayla was the home of the Dragons. The land was vibrant, beautiful, and full of life. The protector of Palayla, feeling old in his age, decided that it was time to find his successor. Slayer was a young extraordinary sorcerer, ready to take on the world. Traveling the lands, Slayer crossed paths with the protector of Palayla. He was old and frail, no match for the young exuberant man. Slayer was gifted with the protection of the Dragons. He was forced into the form of the Dragon, with the gift and knowledge of many before him. At the birth of Erang, the dragon bloodline quivered. Erang was born into the training of sorcerers; beaten; and molded into something of fear. He slayed the lands, destroying the dragons and conquering their lands. Slayer attempted to protect them. He tried to save Palayla, but in the end could not and fled. Alida was the last child born to Elena, the daughter of Slayer and a sorceress. As death succumbed her, Elena passed on her gifts to her daughter Alida, knowing that one day she would find peace within the skies. Alida was shunned by her father, cursed at and abandoned. Her father blamed Alida for the death of Elena. Moraegus is a legend among his own. The daring dragon lived out in the open, taunted and played with the hunters determined to destroy him. The dragons were thinning. When one of his own has been killed, he returns to the populations looking for a bit of revenge. What he gets instead is a challenging young girl named Alida. She intrigues him out of his boredom and daring ways with the hunters. Together, they will travel back to Palayla, Moraegus's home. From there, we shall see what will become of them all.
