Amazing!

Tony Giodone is an assassin who has been bitten by a werewolf, making him the perfect hitman. He and Sue, his human mate, have been given new identities and relocated by the Sazi to Chicago. There they are attempting to adjust to pack life. Other than being furry once a month and craving red meat, Tony's adjustments include his newfound ability to see other people's memories by simply touching them. The Sazi call this "hindsight." Tony's old Mafia boss, Carmine Leone, hires him to find his kidnapped lover Babs, an Alpha werewolf. According to Wolven Security Chief Lucas, she isn't the first Sazi female to be reported missing. As if Carmine's demands aren't enough, the world leaders of the shapeshifter clans have converged on Chicago in order to train Tony in the use of his new "gift." Sure, piece of cake! He just has to find Babs, keep the pack leader from ripping his face off because Tony doesn't play well with others, and solve the mystery of the missing Sazi females....nothing to it! All Tony really wants to do is grab Sue, find the closest secluded horizontal surface and spend some quality time with his mate. These pack problems are really getting to be a pain! Although Moon's Web starts out slowly, it is an excellent continuation of the Sazi series. It is a bit frustrating when the authors hinted at situations that occurred in the first book without giving full explanations. However, the heat between secondary characters Bobby and Asri keeps the story moving along at an even pace. My imagination got quite a full workout with the eclectic mix of shapeshifters. I wasn't certain how the authors could gather that mix into a cohesive law enforcement unit, but they did a wonderful job. I highly recommend that you read Hunter's Moon first to avoid confusion of characters and plotlines. Oh, the villain of the story? Well, read Moon's Web and be amazed! Love in a Sticky Situation

In this follow up to Hunter's Moon our favorite anti-hero, Tony Giodone and his once suicidal but sweet wife are back. Tony is, as we learned previously, a werewolf. Bitten by his mafia boss's girlfreind in an assasination gone bad, Tony is transforming even further. Now he is developing new and rare psychic powers. He catches freaky glimpses into the past of the people around him. Plus he can actually see the color of a magical aura around his fellow Sazi, or were creatures. Now we have a host of new characters for what is shaping into a great series. (And uniquely this series is told from the male perspective.) Tony's new boss is REALLY old russian mafia and he's running with the pack, Robert the python is getting some dragon lovin', a convention of crazily lovable sazi are coming to town, and oh yeah a giant were spider thingy is killing and kidnapping on a deadly rampage. Tony is climbing the ranks of the Sazi and showing us a continually deeper look in to this new culture. This book is funny, inventive, and extremely action packed. It will have you on the edge of your seat or bed or "were"ever you read it!

Another amazing Sazi tale in the unique series

Courtesy of CK2S Kwips and Kritiques Moon's Web continues the story of Tony and Sue, which was begun in Hunter's Moon, and is sure to have readers as engrossed in this one as well. Tony and Sue had their deaths staged at the end of book one so they could go on with their new lives as members of a new Sazi (shape shifter) pack and not have to worry about their pasts coming back to haunt them. Now known as Joe and Jessica Giambrocco, they have begun to adapt to their new home, and have many challenges facing them in their mated relationship as well. Almost immediately upon recovering from injuries sustained in his last battle, Tony is called upon by his old mob boss, Carmine, for a special case. It turns out Carmine and his wife Linda's special third party in their marriage, Babs, who just so happens to be the werewolf who converted Tony, has been kidnapped, but not by any ordinary villain. Her captor is thought to be another Sazi, who is preying on others of their kind. Only Tony can handle this case, with help from friend Bobby Mbutu, Wolven agent to the whole Sazi population. Things grow more complicated however; as Tony begins to acquire new Sazi powers he can't quite control yet and has to adjust to his position in his new wolf pack in Chicago, headed by Nikoli. When more Sazi women turn up dead, and others disappear, all in the midst of planning a huge conference for all of the Sazi species, the situation grows more dire. They all realize the enemy they are dealing with is far deadlier then anything they've encountered in a very long time, and is a species they thought long obliterated. Can they track down the kidnapper before it is too late for Babs and the other women? Wow! Ms. Clamp and Ms. Adams pull no punches with this story. It is darker, grittier, and more suspenseful then its prequel. Readers will love the world created in this series, and especially enjoy the complex society made up of shape shifters of every kind imaginable. The plot is fast paced, full of mystery, and drives onward to the thrilling climax that will leave readers breathless. The authors' voice is truly their own, and that is all the more evident in this book. Though there is less focus on the Mafia world here, readers are given a glimpse into an even more compelling and complicated world, that of the Sazi. Yet there is still enough of the darker side of Tony's personality visible, and readers also get to visit with some old acquaintances. What is interesting is that though Sue and Tony are the main characters again in this story, the underlying story is about Bobby and Asri, his mate whom he finds in this story. Seeing the reptilian Bobby brought to his knees by his love for the petite but powerful dragon of a woman, Asri, is a sight to behold. All of the conflicts arising between them are given full rein, through the newfound powers of Tony, who is still the storyteller here. Readers, be they new to the world of the Sazi, or coming back for more, are guar

BRILLIANT

I have gotten tired of some of the werewolf books out there and decided not to read any more, was I wrong, this series is outstanding. I think this is better than the last one and it was superb. Tony is an assassin who was bitten by a werewolf. He was one of the best hitmen around. He has given up his profession to stay with his mate Sue, he saved her in the previous book. Now he has to learn to live with what he is and learn alot of new rules. Sue had won the lottery and her life was made so miserable by her family she had tried to hire Tony to kill her. He wouldn't kill her but he would love her forever. At the end of HUNTER'S MOON both of them were injured and being nursed back to health. Secure in their love for each other and ready for a new life. Faking their deaths saves Tony from the police and Sue from her family. Tony is finally healed and joins the pack. But something about the pack mentallity undermines his physic connection to Sue. It is finally realized that he and Sue are double mates. That is the easy part. Being absorbed and learning to accept the pack is alot harder. This is one of the most exciting, fast paced books I have read in a while. I don't want to ruin any of this for you, but this is an awesome plot. There are so many Sasi, shapechangers, you never know what you will meet. Each and everyone of them have different powers, now Tony must learn to control his powers, his temper, and his woman. I can't say enough good things about this book. If you liked HUNTER'S MOON you will love the continueing story. I hope we get many more. A great fantasy, a great romance, and a thrilling story. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a book...!

The latest addition to the Sazi world is OUTSTANDING! CT Adams and Cathy Clamp throw you into the middle of an amazing world filled with Sazi. We get to enjoy another adventure with Tony, one that reveals a lot about him one wouldn't have guessed from the first book. And once again, Sue comes through IMO. I personally loved this book, filled with surprises and so many new, wonderful characters... not to mention the villain. WOW, very impressive! The final few chapters were powerful enough to take my breath away. So please, do yourself a favour and READ this book. I recommend this book to both women and men.
